Okagbare stumbles as Fraser-Pryce shine

Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare failed in her bid to win her first 100m gold at the 2015 IAAF World Championships, as she came last in the women race decided at the Beijing National Stadium, in China.

Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the race after crossing the line in 10.76 seconds to beat the strong-finishing Dafne Schippers, who set a Dutch record of 10.81 for second place.

American Tori Bowie finished third in 10.86 to win bronze.

Okagbare, stumbled a bit at the starting blocks and she was left behind by the strong field. She finished 11.02 a far cry from her season’s best of 10.84 seconds.
